No more throttle clicking
OK, since this weekend's flying I was noticing that the transmitters of a lot of the people at the field, the throttle control on their transmitter did not click while moving it up and down. After talking to them and also a post over on RunRyder I decided that I should make it where my tx throttle lever doesn't click. This was a real simple procedure. So here are the steps I took:
- Remove the 6 screws that hold the transmitter together
- Remove the back cover of the Tx
- On the throttle mechanism there is a thin metal strip on the left of the mechanism – 1st image
- Remove the 2 screws holding that metal strip in place. One screw is black the other is silver. Notice the black one is tightened all the way down – 3rd image
- Turn the metal strip over, where the peak that is there is pointing up away from the throttle lever mechanism
- Replace the 2 screws that hold this metal strip in place.
- Tighten the silver screw to the desired tension on the throttle lever – 2nd image
- Replace the back cover of the Tx
- Replace the 6 screws
- Replace the crystal (it comes out when you remove the back cover)
